Boston—The Mill Creek Residential-developed and The Bozzuto Group-managed Watertown, Mass., luxury community, Watertown Mews, has announced the addition of a guest suite to the 206-unit luxury community’s amenities list.
The Watertown Mews Guest Suite offers a fully furnished and accessorized lodging option for friends, family and other guests of the community’s residents that can be rented on a nightly basis for $150. Guests staying in the suite have access to the Watertown Mews’ already distinguished amenities package, which includes an outdoor saltwater pool, free outdoor parking, a fitness studio, a game room and a bocce ball court.
“This was a no-brainer for us,” says Trenda Wallace, community manager at Watertown Mews. “Rather than have our community members’ guests be uncomfortable on a couch, search for an overpriced hotel, or take a chance on an AirBnB accommodation, we wanted to offer them the chance to experience all Watertown Mews has to offer.”
There are term limits, however.
“The guest suite is available for both short- and long-term stays, but cannot be rented for more than two weeks at a time,” Watertown Mews Assistant Manager, Sarah Wilson, tells MHN. “For anyone who wants to enjoy all the Mews has to offer beyond two weeks, we have 37 units still available for them to lease.”
Wilson also said that a “good amount of people” have already stayed in the guest suite so far and that, based on the feedback her community has received, she hopes that other apartment communities will follow in offering the unique amenity.
Completed in April, with occupancy starting on May 15, Watertown Mews has tallied up an 82 percent occupancy to date. Additionally, 32 units at the development were designated as affordable and are available to residents with an annual income at or below 80 percent AMI. Of the 37 remaining units available for rent, five are affordable apartments.
The residences are offered in a mix of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartment homes that feature upscale designs and finishes including stone countertops, custom cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, high ceilings and open floor plans.
The lushly landscaped community is located at 1 Repton Place in Watertown—a suburb just east of Boston that is located near the Charles River.
