View Inc. offers intelligent window products that automatically tint in response to outdoor conditions, curbing air conditioning and lighting costs in a building by up to 18 percent. The dynamic glass windows, which feature nano-layers of electrochromic coating, eliminate glare and unaesthetic blinds and provide more natural light in a multifamily or commercial space.
View Smart Windows transition seamlessly between four tint states and can also be adjusted on demand from a mobile app, which allows the user to create schedules and manage entire buildings. View has also introduced View Protect, the industry’s first cloud-connected, software-based system for detecting broken windows. The optional software add-on offers 100 percent coverage of all glass surfaces with no additional sensors.
View has completed 480 installations across the U.S. as of year-end 2019, including in Exo Apartments, a 457-unit community in the Washington, D.C., suburbs. The company’s fenestration product will also appear in the upcoming 312-unit Bower apartment project, part of the Fenway Center development in Boston.
