Tucson Student Housing Community Offers Luxury Lifestyle
Chicago-based developer Core Spaces is expanding its reach in Tucson with the opening of its second luxury student housing community.
Hub On Campus Tuscon II is now open for University of Arizona students.
Tucson, Ariz.—University of Arizona students now have more housing options, thanks to a new luxury community from Chicago-based developer Core Spaces. Hub On Campus Tucson II is the second student housing community built by the firm, and offers upscale living with 11,000 square feet of amenities like a rooftop pool and hot tub, private poolside cabanas, outdoor terrace with grilling areas, lounges with televisions and games, spa with a sauna and tanning booths, and more.
The firm’s first Tucson student housing community, Hub At Tuscon, was built in 2014 and was “well received,” according to Core Spaces COO Ben Modleski. The community offers 163 units and similar luxury amenities like a rooftop deck and infinity-edge pool. Tucson II is located just next door at 1023 N. Tyndall Ave., a few blocks from the University of Arizona. Tucson II was designed with a Route 66 urban motif and offers views of the campus, downtown Tuscon and the Southern Arizona mountain ranges.
Core Spaces reportedly bought the site for Tucson II from the city of Tucson for $1.5 million in 2014, according to Real Estate Daily News.
The community offers 104 units in studio, two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom floor plans that come fully furnished with in-unit washers and dryers. Other unit features include floor-to-ceiling windows and 42-inch flat screen HDTVs. Monthly rents start at $1,069 for studios, $1,085 per bed for two bedrooms, $910 per bed for three bedrooms, $880 per bed for four bedrooms and $814 per bed for five bedrooms.
For residents wanting an ultra-luxury experience, the community offers two special room packages: VIP, Mansion and Spa. These residences offer top-floor views, a private terrace or balcony with a hot tub in select units, bluetooth sound system, larger HDTVs and other upgraded features.
The community also offers gated private garage parking, bike storage and 24-hour emergency maintenance.
Core Spaces’ student housing arm, called Core Campus had developed and acquired more than 5,200 student housing beds in the past several years. Core Campus’ communities, all known as The Hub, are located across the U.S., including in: Eugene, Ore.; Oxford, Miss.; Columbia, S.C.; and Madison, Wis., in addition to Tuscon.
The company is currently proposing a 664-bed student housing community in Flagstaff, Ore., the Arizona Daily Sun reported.
