Thompson Thrift is further expanding its Florida residential portfolio, developing The Stadler, which is expected to start construction later this month and welcome its first residents in summer 2025.
When completed, The Stadler will offer 279 units in one-, two- and three-bedroom units as large as 1,445 square feet. The units will be built with Alexa-compatible smart home tech and full-sized washers and dryers, while some units will offer options for a detached garage and a patio or balcony. Community amenities will include a fitness center, pickleball court, dog park, pet spa, covered sky deck, lazy-river style swimming pool and bicycle storage.
Located on a nine-acre site along El Conquistador Parkway, The Stadler will be adjacent to the city’s waterfront with some units offering ocean views towards Sarasota Bay. The community will be on the southern border of the 1,300-acre Lake Flores master-planned community, which is expected to include more than 6,500 homes, two million square feet of retail, a million square feet of office space, 500 hotel rooms and a 19-acre manmade lake.
The community will offer its residents a less than 10-mile drive to the Sarasota Bradenton International Airport, while also providing a short commute to downtown Sarasota, downtown St. Petersburg and downtown Tampa.
Busy 2023 in Florida
This new project follows a busy 2023 for Thompson Thrift. The company broke ground on a number of Florida projects, ending the year by starting construction on The Junction at Rockledge, a 380-unit community in Rockledge, Fla. Two months earlier, in October, Thompson Thrift also started the pre-construction development on Standard441, a 300-unit luxury community in Lady Lake, Fla., that is expected to be completed later this year. The company is already off to a strong start in Florida with The Stadler representing its 15th residential project in Florida.
According to Thompson Thrift, the company has eight new residential developments planned for 2024.
