Thompson Thrift Real Estate Co. will develop Alta25, a, 264-unit garden-style luxury community located at 16218 Jackson Creek Parkway in Monument, Colo. The development marks the firm’s ninth community in the state. The developer plans to open the property to residents in 2025.

Upon completion, Alta25 will comprise eight three-story buildings offering a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom living arrangements, averaging 987 square feet. The apartments will feature a host of amenities, including bar-kitchens with quartz countertops and tiled backsplashes, stainless steel appliances, walk-in closets, laundry units, as well as private patios, balconies and yards. Additionally, each unit will include an Amazon Alexa-compatible smart hub, which integrates all smart devices, thermostats and security systems into one controlled interface. Communitywide, residents will have access to a swimming pool, a clubhouse, a fitness center and an outdoor lounge, with every building on the development connected through landscaped courtyards.

Thompson Thrift Managing Partner Josh Purvis detailed the project’s placement to Multi-Housing News; “Our dedication to developing Class A communities built on luxury and convenience will provide a welcome new renting option. With highly rated public schools and recently ranked as one of the best places to raise a family in Colorado, we believe our vision for this community will provide the market with its need for additional housing options as the area continues to see tremendous growth.”

The property will be within walking distance of Monument Marketplace, where residents will have access to over 658,000 square feet of retail and dining options. Situated along Interstate 87, the community will be within 3 miles of Monument’s historic downtown district and is 17 miles north of downtown Colorado Springs.

Colorado expansion

The development of Alta25 marks Thompson Thrift’s ninth project in the Centennial State and the third this year, following its recent groundbreaking of The Quarry, a 319-unit  community in Fort Collins, as well as that of Notch66, a 336-unit development in Longmont, a Boulder suburb.

With a Class A multifamily portfolio of 8.2 million square feet and assets totaling $4.2 billion, Thompson Thrift remains one of the most prolific developers of luxury multifamily properties around the South and West, with a distinct focus on suburban communities, according to CommercialEdge information. The firm recently acquired 29 acres for the construction of The BLVD at Wilson Crossings, a 344-unit community in Grand Rapids, Mich., suburb.
