Thompson Thrift Commences Savannah-Area Community
Construction is set to begin in June.

Thompson Thrift has started pre-development work on its first multifamily community in metro Savannah, Ga. The company plans to start construction on the 360-unit The Liliana in June. First move-ins are expected in summer of 2026.
Thompson Thrift 2024 Multifamily Development will provide equity for the project. Moreover, the developer closed the land acquisition on May 23, a company spokesperson told Multi-Housing News.
Studio M Architecture & Planning designed the project, while Thompson Thrift Construction will serve as the general contractor, the same source revealed.

The Liliana will span nearly 23 acres and comprise one- to three-bedroom floorplans of up to 1,400 square feet. Apartments are set to feature walk-in closets and smart technology, detached garages, as well as private yards, patios or balconies.
Community amenities will include a gym, an around-the-clock clubhouse, a swimming pool, firepits and a pickleball court, to name a few.
Located at the intersection of Old Quacco Road and Pooler Parkway in Pooler, Ga., the project is 1 mile off Interstate 16 and roughly 14 miles west of downtown Savannah. Retail, dining and entertainment options are available less than 6 miles away at Tanger Outlets Savannah—a 105-store shopping center. Nearby employers include Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. and Hyundai.
Savannah’s multifamily pipeline
According to Yardi Matrix, metro Savannah’s supply pipeline included more than 5,600 units under construction as of May. In the first quarter, developers broke ground on more than 170 units in the metro, a sharp decrease from last year’s 880 units during the same time frame, on par with national trends.
A little over 470 units came online during this year’s first three months, which exceeded the 320 units that came online last year during the same period.
