New York—New York-based aptsandlofts.com has leased more than 50 percent of The Lightstone Group’s Gantry Park Landing community, which has been on the market for a little more than 10 weeks.
The Long Island City community, which opened its doors in July and is exclusively leased by aptsandlofts.com, has 199 units and had already leased 120 of them as of Sept. 17.
“By reaching 60 percent leased in this short time frame, it is evident that we’ve accomplished our goal of exceeding the expectations of Long Island City renters,” says Mitchell Hochberg, president of The Lightstone Group and Developer of Gantry Park Landing. “Residents have been especially attracted to Gantry Park Landing’s authentic industrial inspired design and the variety of high-end amenities offered exclusively within The Gantry Club.”
Residents of the community enjoy an array of amenities including a movie screening area, community kitchen for hosting larger dinner parties and outdoor terrace, in addition to a state-of-the-art fitness center with separate yoga room, a gaming lounge with ping pong table, a club room, common interior courtyard and landscaped roof deck with a sundeck, barbecue area and outdoor fireplace.
The units themselves, which include studio through three-bedroom floor plan options with a rent range of $2,050 to $4,810, include hardwood floors throughout, over-sized double pane windows, large closets and gourmet kitchens with white Silestone countertops, white tile backsplashes, imported Italian cabinetry and stainless steel appliances.
The community boasts concierge service, a 24-hour doorman, pet spa and bike storage, and is within close proximity to the waterfront, as well as Gantry Park, restaurants, shopping, greengrocers and public transportation.
“The combination of Gantry Park Landing’s prime location along the waterfront and interior design concepts, in addition to only being 1.5 blocks from the 7 train, has set the building apart from some of the other projects that have opened in the past few months,” says aptsandlofts.com president and founder, David Maundrell. “We have seen a strong interest from not only Manhattanites moving to Long Island City, but also from residents who are already living in the area and prefer Gantry Park Landing over other properties in the neighborhood.”
