The Largest Rentals to Hit the Atlanta Market in 2015
Atlanta’s rental market added more than 5,300 new rental units in 2015.

Atlanta, Ga.—The Atlanta rental market has soared in recent years—the Big Peach has seen a number of residential constructions that offer new homes at the height of modern interior design and functionality, with access to resort-style amenities, combining to create a contemporary high-rise lifestyle. In comparison to other rental markets within the United States, Atlanta offers a high level of luxury for relatively reasonable prices, with average rent in the city’s at $1,250 per month. Apartments constructed in the past 5 years command slightly under $1,700.
We explored some of the largest developments completed in 2015 based on information from the Yardi Matrix database, to highlight the changing nature of the rental market for Atlanta apartments, showing some of the finest examples of the high-rise lifestyle within Atlanta.
1. The Residence Buckhead Atlanta, 370 units
This contemporary glass tower hosts 370 units, offering a variety of configurations ranging from ample-sized studio apartments up to expansive three-bedroom penthouses. Brought to life by national boutique real estate firm OliverMcMillan, these chic apartments feature open floor plans bathed in natural light, exquisitely detailed interior design features, and well-equipped amenities which include a rooftop swimming pool, a clubhouse, and an outdoor lounge. 2. SkyHouse Buckhead, 364 units
Novare Group’s high rise boasts a contemporary architectural style and hosts 364 apartments over 26 stories, with units ranging from cozy studios up to spacious three-bedroom homes. SkyHouse Buckhead’s luxury apartments showcase modern trends in interior design, with open floor plans accentuated by luxury fixtures and fittings. The building offers ample parking, resort-style amenities, and a central location just steps away from the Lenox Square complex and the Phipps Plaza. 3. Encore at Clairemont Apartments, 359 units
This development brings an alternative lifestyle to the soaring high-rise buildings that have added to Atlanta’s skyline, with 359 units in a series of four- and five-story buildings. Under Fairfield Residential’s management, the project offers studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom configurations, that boast ideal living spaces to meet various expectations. 4. The High Rise at Post Alexander, 340 units
Post Properties’ The High Rise at Post Alexander project hosts 340 rental apartments in a sleek 19-story structure, offering studio, one- and two-bedroom floor plans. Each unit’s interior design follows contemporary trends, and the building provide access to resort-style amenities such as a stunning rooftop terrace with a full kitchen, a luxurious swimming pool, and various well-appointed community rooms. 5. Cyan on Peachtree, 329 units
Cyan on Peachtree’s 23-story building was completed in 2015 and boasts 329 luxury rental apartments including generously spaced one- and two-bedroom apartments, as well as some even larger penthouse units. Built as part of Monogram Residential Trust’s Monogram Apartment Collection operational platform, the development offers ample parking space, a refreshing rooftop swimming pool and terrace, a well-equipped fitness center, and numerous upscale social rooms.
