Bayview Development Group has started construction of Miro, a 28-story, luxury apartment community in San Jose, to be the city’s tallest. It is slated for completion by 2020.

Located at 167 E. Santa Clara St., across from City Hall and steps away from a planned downtown BART station, the project will comprise twin buildings and more than 600 units, featuring a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments and 16 penthouses. Designed by Steinberg, the live-work-play development will feature 20,000 square feet of retail space and further 50,000 square feet will be devoted to amenities such as:

  • rooftop pool
  • concierge services
  • fitness
  • spa facilities
  • pet facilities
  • fire pits
  • rooftop lounges

“Miro sets a new standard for luxury residential living while helping to create a vibrant, engaging community through its balance of residential, commercial, and retail offerings,” said Rob Steinberg architect & chairman of Steinberg, in prepared remarks.

San Jose is experiencing significant growth: Several large projects are currently under construction. HFF provided $201 million in financing for the development of The Reserve, a 636-unit luxury apartment community in San Jose.
