Sun Holdings Acquires 330-Unit Community in San Antonio

Sun Holdings Group has purchased Tradehouse at Bulverde Marketplace, a 330-unit, Class A, garden-style community in San Antonio. Berkadia secured acquisition financing through Freddie Mac. Sun Holdings also owns two other properties in the metro and four others in central Texas.

Built in 2018, the property comprises one- and two-bedroom units, with stainless-steel appliances and quartz countertops. Common-area amenities include a swimming pool, outdoor kitchen, social lounge and fitness center. SYNC Residential, an affiliate of Sun Holdings, will manage operations at Tradehouse.

Located at 17038 Bulverde Road within a 104-acre master-planned, mixed-use project, the six-building property is within 7 miles of Interstate 35. The community is within walking distance of several retail and dining locations. Tradehouse is 5 miles from North Central Baptist Hospital and 6 miles from San Antonio International Airport.

Berkadia’s Senior Managing Director Cutt Abelson arranged the financing. In December, Ableson secured a $30.8 million Freddie Mac loan for the acquisition of a 270-unit community in Corpus Christi, Texas.
