Stark Enterprises to Develop Columbus Luxury Community

Groundbreaking is scheduled for the coming weeks.

Stark Enterprises is developing Lock Pointe Village, a 120-unit luxury build-to-rent project in Canal Winchester, Ohio. Groundbreaking is scheduled for the following weeks.

Lease-up is expected to begin early next year, with first units delivered that spring. Stark Enterprises subsidiary Arbor Construction will serve as general contractor.

The project will rise at 6700 Nathan Drive, close to Interstate 70 and several retail and dining options. Downtown Columbus, Ohio, is within 7 miles, while John Glenn Columbus International Airport is 11 miles away.

Lock Pointe Village will comprise 37 residential buildings with two- and three-bedroom floorplans. Apartments will have private front porches and back patios, walk-in closets and washers and dryers, as well as two-car attached garages.

Shared amenities are set to include a fitness center, community room, clubhouse with social gathering spaces, dog park and swimming pool with adjacent grills and entertainment area. The community will also have a sport court.

As of April, Columbus had 15,630 units across 69 multifamily developments underway, according to Yardi Matrix information. One of these projects is Lofts at 40 Long, which represents the adaptive reuse of a century-old YMCA building into 121 units. That community will come online next year as well.

Stark Enterprises’ growing multifamily footprint

Lock Pointe Village marks Stark Enterprises’ fifth build-to-rent community and multifamily project in the state. Overall, it’s the firm’s 11th residential development.

Stark is also currently working on another build-to-rent community dubbed Teal Ridge Village. The developer expects to complete the 244-unit project in Gretna, Neb., next year, using funds from a $44 million loan obtained last April.
