St. Louis-Area Community Breaks Ground
Located roughly 2 miles from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville’s campus, the 153-unit development is now underway, with an expected completion date in early 2020.
Fireside Financial has broken ground on Whispering Heights, a 153-unit mixed-use community in the St. Louis area. The development is expected to finish construction and open its doors in 2020, according to Yardi Matrix data.
Holland Construction is serving as the project’s general contractor, and Gray Design Group is providing architectural services.
Located alongside Illinois Route 157 at Enclave Boulevard in Edwardsville, Ill., the development site is within 2 miles of the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville campus, roughly 20 miles northeast of downtown St. Louis.
Plans for the community call for two six-story buildings, each with a mixture of studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments. The development is set to contain more than 18,000 square feet of retail in addition to a variety of amenities, including a rooftop deck, a clubhouse, a fitness center and structured parking.
Across the Mississippi River in St. Louis’ Central West End, Tarlton Corp. completed two historic renovations this summer.
