Southern Land Kicks Off Dallas Luxury Development
The developer anticipates that the 310-unit community in the heart of the city’s Knox-Henderson neighborhood will open in early 2020.
Southern Land Co. has broken ground on a luxury development in Dallas: The 19-story, 310-unit Novē at Knox. The company picked up the 1.7-acre project site in 2015, according to Dallas County records. Developed in partnership with KBS Realty Advisors, the community is set to open in early 2020, with preleasing efforts slated to begin next year. Locally based GDA Architects is the designer of the property.
Located at 3031 Oliver Ave. in Dallas’ Knox-Henderson neighborhood, Nove at Knox will be along the North Central Expressway, providing direct access to the city’s central business district, less than three miles away. A wide range of shopping and dining options are within a five-minute walk from the community.
A luxury mix of units and amenities
Plans call for a mix of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, plus an additional 16 penthouse units on the 18th and 19th floors. Floorplans range in size from 550 to 3,384 square feet. Each apartment comes furnished with stainless steel appliances, floor-to-ceiling windows and a washer and dryer. Community amenities will include a fitness center, a yoga studio, swimming pool and concierge services. Several levels of above-ground and subterranean parking will also be available.
“Residents can walk to shops, parks and restaurants and enjoy quick access to downtown Dallas, Park Cities and Uptown, making Knox-Henderson an ideal location for young professionals and empty nesters looking to downsize,” Tim Downey, CEO of Southern Land Co., told Multi-Housing News. “Novē at Knox is unique to other multifamily buildings in the area and will provide multiple outdoor amenity spaces including a 10,000-square-foot private open space that connects to McKinney Avenue and an elevated pool deck that faces Downtown Dallas.”
