Soundproof Windows combat unwanted noise by providing an extra layer of glass inside the home. The laminated glass product is installed behind an existing window and does not require window replacement.

An inner PVB layer of plastic stops vibrations and the seals are spring-loaded in the frame, providing a constant squeeze the prevents sound leaks.

Additionally, an air space between the existing window and the Soundproof Window isolates the frame from vibration, avoiding the problem with double-paned windows, where the two pieces of glass vibrate together in the same frame. The window products, which are custom made to fit, usually have a Sound Transmission Class (STC) rating in the range of 48 to 54.
