New York—Silestone’s Volcano Texture quartz surface brings a new tactile and aesthetic experience to both kitchen and bath surfaces while retaining the inherent non-porous benefits of quartz. The quartz surface has a distinct orange-peel-like textured finish that creates a contemporary matte look and feel.
The company employed a new technology to apply a lightly indented effect to the quartz surface. At launch the line consisted of five colors: Nuit Bleu, a smoky charcoal color with hints of natural stone; Haiku, a light cream; White Zeus, pure white; Kensho, a soft ash gray; and Gray Expo, a natural gray hue.
Volcano’s use goes beyond counter tops. The versatile material can also be used for vanity tops, wall paneling and custom made furniture. In addition, the Volcano Texture is non-porous and never needs to be sealed. As with other quartz products, the surface has high scratch, stain and heat resistance qualities. The material comes with a 15-year limited warranty and is priced a $62 to $89 per square foot.
