Signet Real Estate Sells NC Student Housing Community

FourPoint Student Housing Investments represented the seller in its disposition of Deacon Place, an 82-unit property in Winston-Salem, serving Wake Forest University students.

Signet Real Estate Group has sold Deacon Place, a student housing community in Winston-Salem, N.C. The property serves those attending Wake Forest University. FourPoint Student Housing Investments represented the seller in the transaction. 

Located at 2410 Whicker Acres Lane, the property offers 82 four-bedroom units ranging from 1,542 to 1,886 square feet. According to Yardi Matrix, the asset features 10 two- and three-story buildings, situated across 12.8 acres. As of October, the community was at a 97.6 percent occupancy. Interior features of the fully-furnished units include private bathrooms, keyless entry, in-unit washer/dryer, hardwood-style flooring, carpeted bedrooms, granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. Residents of the pet friendly community have access to amenities including:

  • resort-style luxury pool
  • study lounge
  • complimentary Wi-Fi
  • 24-hour fitness room
  • outdoor entertainment area
  • gas grill and fire pit
  • putting green

In May, Marcus & Millichap arranged the $20.9 million sale of Deacon Rental Properties, another student housing community located in Winston-Salem. Mission Bay Investments purchased the property.
