Sequoia Living Opens East Bay Senior Community
The four-story property in Walnut Creek, Calif. offers nearly 200 independent living, assisted living and memory care units.
Sequoia Living—formerly known as Northern California Presbyterian Homes and Services—has announced the opening of Viamonte at Walnut Creek, a senior housing community in Contra Costa County.
The four-story property includes nearly 200 units and offers independent living, assisted living and memory care services.
Viamonte is located at 2801 Shadelands Drive in Walnut Creek, Calif. on 3.8 acres. The property is part of The Orchards at Walnut Creek mixed-use development, which includes a neighboring retail center anchored by Safeway, Petco and Crunch Fitness. Landscaped leisure areas, such as an outdoor amphitheater and interactive art zone, connect the residential and commercial components.
Central Walnut Creek is less than 4 miles southwest of the site, while Oakland is about 20 miles west.
Viamonte is organized around two interior courtyards that allow for natural light to reach the one- and two-bedroom units that include full kitchens and private decks or patios. Shared community spaces at the property include a gym, salon, bocce court, heated swimming pool, two on-site restaurants and outdoor fireplaces.
Earlier this year, another senior housing property opened in the San Francisco Bay area. The fully affordable La Vereda in San Leandro, Calif. encompasses 85 units and is designated for adults aged 62 and over.
