Senior Community Opens Near Indianapolis
Sterling Group developed the 126-unit property in Franklin, Ind.
Astral at Franklin, a 126-unit senior housing community in Franklin, Ind., has officially opened its doors to residents. Sterling Group developed the $32 million project together with Nelson Construction and American Structurepoint. Franciscan Advisory Services will be the managing company.
The three-story building encompasses independent living, assisted living and memory care units with various floorplans. Common-area amenities include a wellness gym, outdoor patios, walking paths, courtyards, restaurant-style dining rooms and a community kitchen. Provided services include medication reminders, administration and supervision, 24/h support and wellness activities, among others. In addition, a dementia and Alzheimer’s care team is always available onsite.
Located at 1375 Nicole Drive, the property is adjacent to U.S. Highway 31, west of Interstate 65. The surrounding area has many dining options, entertainment venues, green areas and retail spaces such as Greenwood Park Mall. Downtown Indianapolis is roughly 17 miles northwest.
Another Indiana senior housing community will be welcoming its first residents in early 2023 as Evergreen Real Estate Group topped off Green Oaks of Goshen in early September. The affordable assisted living project in Goshen caters to older adults earning at or below 80 percent of the area median income.
