Parking garages and stairwells are stereotypically creepy. They’re either gloomy with flickering light or extremely lit up around the clock. Your residents and/or guests shouldn’t feel nervous every time they come in and out of your building. be mounted on walls or ceilings with optional backup battery power and occupancy sensors. They can reduce energy use by as much as 80 percent, as stairwells and garages are typically illuminated 24 hours a day, seven days a week, without frequently being occupied.
“We developed the SL series from the ground-up, with the commercial building owner and electrical contractor in mind,” said Cedric Van den Haute, director of product development for TERRALUX. “They are available with a wide variety of options, they install incredibly quickly using existing conduit, pendant and junction box locations, and they are built to last.”
The lights are available in 1-, 2-and 4-foot lengths – the SL12, SL24 and SL48. Lumen outputs range from 1,500 lumens to 4,000 lumens and efficiency is greater than 100 lumens per watt. An added benefit for building owners is reduced maintenance cost because the series won’t need servicing or replacement for at least seven years.
