Sheridan at Park Ridge, a 99,000-square-foot retirement community, broke ground in Park Ridge, Ill. The project is part of The Sheridan Collection, a new family of communities developed by Senior Lifestyle Corp. Kaufman Jacobs is the co-developer of the property scheduled to open in late 2018.Â
The community will be located on a 1.74-acre site near the Park Ridge Country Club, at the intersection of Northwest Highway and Greenwood Avenue. Sheridan at Park Ridge will comprise 64 assisted-living apartment homes, as well as 36 memory care residences, specifically designed for those suffering from Alzheimer’s, dementia and other memory-impairing illnesses.
Relaxation options
Residents will have access to a spacious dining room and chef-prepared meals, indoor sun porch, multi-purpose room and therapy center. The on-site salon, spa and wellness center will provide additional relaxation opportunities. Landscaped outdoor areas, views of the nearby golf course and tranquility garden will also be available.
Recently, a similar project broke ground in the Chicago area. Capitol Seniors Housing is developing a $28 million assisted living community expected to be complete by the end of 2018.Â
