Presidium Group Completes 1st Phase of Fort Worth Community
The project's second phase is expected to break ground in late 2023.
Presidium Group has completed the first phase of Presidium Berkshire, a luxury multifamily development in Fort Worth, Texas. The developer broke ground on the project’s first 340 units in 2021, financing their construction with a $51.7 million loan originated by Berkshire Partners, Yardi Matrix data shows. The development’s second phase will consist of a 302-unit community which is expected to break ground in late 2023.
Designed by O’Brien Architects, the community comprises one-, two- and three-bedroom units ranging from 642 to 1,511 square feet, equipped with washers, dryers and digital locks. Additional features include 9-foot ceilings, stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, balconies, walk-in closets, and built-in desks.
Common-area amenities encompass a clubroom, a bar, conference rooms, a coworking lounge, private offices, a two-story fitness center, a yoga studio, a dog park with pet grooming services, a swimming pool with a bar, a roof deck and EV charging stations.
Situated on 26 acres at 9632 Berkshire Lake Blvd., Presidium Berkshire is just west of U.S. Route 287 and close to Interstate 35 West. The location is 10 miles from Fort Worth Meacham International Airport and within 13 miles of downtown Fort Worth. Alliance Town Center and Presidio Town Crossing, with their numerous retail and dining options, are 3 miles away.
Recent multifamily projects in the Metroplex
Developers had 60,532 units under construction and 163,000 units in the planning stages in Dallas-Fort Worth year-to-date as of April, ranking as the second largest market for multifamily construction in the U.S., according to Yardi Matrix data. Deliveries totaled 2,016 units, representing 2.8 percent out of the existing stock.
Recent projects in the Metroplex include JPI’s five-story, 290-unit luxury development that broke ground in June in the town of Addison. Completion is expected in late 2024.
Earlier this year, Legacy Partners, in joint venture with The Resmark Cos., commenced construction on Legacy Gateway in Forney, Texas. The 336-unit community is taking shape within a 2,000-acre master-planned community.
