DSC_7732-Edit-2Houston-based Sunrise Luxury Living has opened The Core Scottsdale, its new apartment community in North Scottsdale, Ariz. Built by hardison/downey construction, Core Scottsdale offers 282 units, spread across studio, one- and two-bedroom units.

Among the features and finishes of apartment homes are gourmet kitchens with quartz countertops, gas ranges, under-counter wine centers with towel bars, wood-plank floors, modern pendant lighting, full-size washer-dryers and built-in book shelves and walk-in closets to provide ample storage space.

Cooling mist

The community’s amenities include a swimming pool atop the seven story-parking garage, poolside cabins with McDowell Mountain views, outdoor fire pits, misters for warm weather and a clubhouse with gym, yoga-spin room, theater room, game room and poker room.

In addition, Core Scottsdale offers a 24-hour package parcel service, immediate maintenance response and smart-home electronic entry system. The pet friendly community features a self-serve pet wash station in the clubhouse.

The site “was a former auto dealership,” Sunrise Luxury Living president Jim Hinton told MHN. “We went through an extensive rezoning with the city. It was a great opportunity to create value on the property, repurposing it for multifamily in the second largest employment center in the state. The auto dealership [site] was clean, we didn’t have any issues with the site.”

Short-term leases

Core Scottsdale is situated at the intersection of Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard and Arizona State Route 101, and offers access to virtually any part of the Phoenix, Ariz. metropolitan area, including Scottsdale Airpark. Among the popular destinations only a few minutes away are world-class golf courses, Top Golf and an array of high-end restaurants and entertainment options. Core Scottsdale provides an alternative for well-traveled execs and also offers short-term leases for winter Valley of the Sun visitors.

Rents at Core Scottsdale extend from $1,350 to $2,800 a month.

We didn’t have any problems,” Hinton concluded. “We worked closely with the city and with their design review committee to make sure we were able to create a multifamily community they’d be proud of.”
