- Nov 20, 2018
The Foundation for Affordable Housing has purchased Bridlewood Village, a 70-unit fully affordable community in Obetz, Ohio. Public records show that Spieker Realty sold the asset for $1.3 million and, according to Yardi Matrix data, the new owner assumed the outstanding balance of a $1.2 million HUD loan.
Located at 4385 Thelma Drive, Bridlewood Village is 8 miles south of downtown Columbus. The asset is close to Interstate 270 and within equal distance of highways 23 and 33. The property is adjacent to the Columbus Fair Auto Auction and 5 miles north of Rickenbacker International Airport. Several dining facilities are located within a 5-minute drive.
Completed in 1980, the two- and three-bedroom units of Bridlewood Village are spread across 13 two-story buildings. All apartments feature washers and dryers and common-area amenities include a basketball court, playground and 115 parking spaces.
Earlier in November, Winchester Lakes, a 150-unit affordable community in the southeast metro area of Columbus, also changed hands.
