LMC Tops Off Pair of Seattle Communities
- Sep 11, 2017
Apartment community developer and manager LMC has topped off two luxury apartment communities in Seattle. Valdok, a seven-story, 178-apartment community, is located in the city’s Ballard neighborhood. Axle, an eight-story, 226-unit community seeking LEED Gold certification, is situated in the city’s Interbay community. First move-ins at the two apartment communities will take place in summer 2018.
“Seattle is a tremendously strong multifamily market with a lot of development ongoing. We are thrilled with the timely progress being made at both of these communities,” said Brad Reisinger, LMC’s Pacific Northwest divisional president.
“We believe these communities not only will meet the market demand for exceptional housing, but will exceed market expectations for state-of-the-art amenities and a vintage Seattle living experience.”
Valdok will feature two buildings situated across 56th Street from one another in the 1700 block of NW 56th Street in Ballard. A northwest side Seattle enclave with a long-standing Scandinavian heritage, Ballard is adjacent to a working waterfront and features some of Seattle’s trendiest nightspots, retailers and restaurants. The design of the development was inspired by the Valdok family’s Scandinavian lineage. Ballard’s convenience to downtown employers via the Ballard Bridge and 15th Ave NW makes it attractive to those seeking the best of both worlds: a job downtown or in South Lake Union, and the lifestyle offered by a classic Seattle neighborhood.
When complete, Valdok will feature studio, one- and two-bedroom apartment homes with available den floor plans, ranging from 485 to 1,384 square feet.
Trails and waterways
Located at 3230 16th Avenue West, Axle stands in a burgeoning hub for multifamily communities linking the Queen Anne, Magnolia and Ballard neighborhoods.
A city thoroughfare in itself, the Interbay enclave offers easy access to an array of shopping, entertainment districts, green space, trails and waterways.
Discovery Park, Seattle’s largest park, is a short drive away. Expedia’s new headquarters campus stands just one mile away and can be reached via a dedicated bicycle path.
Axle will offer residents one- and two-bedroom apartment homes with available den floor plans, ranging from 510 to 1,340 square feet in size.
Both communities will offer clubhouses with full kitchen and gaming area, co-working spaces with state-of-the-art technology, top-of-the-line 24-hour fitness centers, pet parks with dog wash and grooming stations, rooftop decks, fireplaces and barbecue grills, outdoor lounge areas, 24-hour package service and bicycle storage.
Apartment homes themselves will feature quartz countertops, designer lighting, stainless steel high-end kitchen appliances, hardwood-style plank flooring, full-size washer-dryers, ceramic tile tub surrounds, lighted mirrors and under-cabinet lighting. Select units will feature a suite of Smart Home features.
Including Valdok and Axle, LMC has more than 2,500 Pacific Northwest homes in operation, under construction or in the late planning stages. Among them is Valdok II, which is under construction and slated for a 2019 unveiling.
