Interforum Holdings Debuts Chicago-Area Luxury Community

Lakeside Village of Oakbrook, which broke ground back in 2016, offers residents access to amenities including a swimming pool, dog park and rooftop deck.

Interforum Holdings has opened and begun leasing Lakeside Village of Oakbrook, an 315-unit apartment community in Chicago’s submarket of Oak Brook, Ill.

“We wanted to build truly Class A resort-style community that has so many amenities, conveniences and luxuries built into the property that a person who lives here would feel more like they were staying in luxurious resort, but without losing the comfort of a cozy home,” Alex Zdanov, CEO of Interforum, told Multi-Housing News. “We built Lakeside Village of Oakbrook envisioning that kind of a lifestyle.”

Located at 18w070 Royce Blvd., the four-story property offers one-, two- and three-bedroom floorplans ranging from 884 to 1,520 square feet. Interior features include balcony/patios, stainless steel appliances, electronic thermostats, washer/dryers, granite countertops, dishwashers, hardwood cabinetry, air conditioning, hardwood floors, high ceilings, large closets and fireplaces. Residents have access to amenities including an indoor parking garage that allows them to park on the level in which they live, as well as the following:

  • courtyard
  • business center
  • bike racks
  • concierge
  • swimming pool
  • clubhouse
  • fitness center
  • party room
  • rooftop deck
  • game lounge
  • media room
  • cyber cafe
  • dog washing station
  • dog park
  • putting green
  • bocce ball court

Filling a need in Chicago

“There are very few high-end opportunities in the suburbs of Chicago, and none that provide as many conveniences and amenities that this development has,” added Zdanov. “Because the suburban area provides more land space, we were able to do far more than the high-end properties at the elite addresses in downtown Chicago.”

Interforum was the developer of the property and is also handling leasing and management in-house. McShane Construction served as the contractor. Financing for Lakeside Village of Oakbrook was provided by CIBC Bank, Heartland Bank, Leaders Bank, West Suburban Bank, Evergreen Bank and Bradford Allen Capital. The community is within close proximity to restaurants, highways, shopping and walking and biking trails in Du Page County.

“We believe we’re filling a need in this area for a leasing community that would like all of the benefits of custom ownership, a feeling that their living space is in fact their home, and that they don’t have to settle for anything less than that sense of home to have the flexibility that leasing provides,” noted Zdanov. “We don’t want them to ‘give up’ any convenience or amenity to their lifestyles to make this choice. Just the opposite, we want them to never want to leave the property because of everything that is available to them right here.”
