Dominium Completes Upgrades at Cincinnati Community
- May 24, 2018
Last week, apartment developer Dominium hosted the reopening of Courtyard Apartments, a fully affordable community in Cincinnati, which houses seniors and disabled residents. The company partnered with property owner National Housing Trust to remodel all 137 units, the common areas as well as the exterior of the building. Work was done in parallel with another senior housing project that Dominium is conducting in Minneapolis, Legends of Woodbury.
Courtyard is located at 7126 Hirsch Drive, near Interstate 75. Upgrades to the units included new flooring, cabinets, countertops, plumbing and lighting fixtures as well as HVAC improvements. The first floor now features a new fitness center, beauty salon, craft room and laundry room while the community room includes a kitchen, lounge seating and a TV.
The patio areas received new seating and landscaping while a new patio with a pergola for shade was built at the back of the building. The front canopy was extended to protect residents from rain and the parking lot was repaved and restriped. New siding, roof and windows were also added.
According to Yardi Matrix data, National Housing Trust bought the property from Dominium in 2016 for $4.4 million. Through the purchase, the organization also assumed a $2.4 million HUD loan on the property originated by Forest City.
