CIM Group has topped out its eight-story development encompassing 333 units in Oakland, Calif. The firm broke ground on the project in early 2018 and it is slated for completion by summer 2020. The new development is situated on one of the three land parcels CIM Group acquired along with seven buildings in 2016. Prior to the construction, the site was used as a parking lot.

At 40 Harrison St., the community is situated at Jack London Square, the 12-acre entertainment and business destination on Oakland’s waterfront. Besides the convenient access to dining and entertainment options, the development is also near the San Francisco Bay Trail and the city’s bus, train and BART stations.

The new construction features a total of 2,400 square feet of ground-floor retail space and comprises a mix of studio, one- and two-bedroom units. Facilitating from the waterfront location, the SCB-designed development features a glass façade, balconies and landscaped courtyards. Property amenities will include communal gathering spots, outdoor terraces and lounges, fitness center, bike storage and care facility.
