Phase 2 of Multigenerational Community Opens in MO

The Estoria, the second development phase of the Norterre multigenerational health, wellness and residential neighborhood, opened in Liberty, Mo. The newly launched center features short-term recovery, rehabilitation and skilled nursing facilities in 60 residential suites.

The property is connected to the community’s first phase, The Aurora Health & Wellness Center, through a climate-controlled walkway. The building rises four stories and comprises 40 short-term rehabilitation and recovery suites as well as 20 long-term nursing care units.

The rehabilitation center offers residents a health-care household model, which features private living suites, common-area spaces and chef-prepared dining. Performance Park, the main square of the community, was designed for sports, cultural and social activities. The park includes a splash pool, which will be available for children during the summer and will be functioning as an ice-skating rink in the winter.

The Laurel Opens This Month

Norterre is a 17-acre master-planned community for residents of all ages, from young families to seniors. The site is located next to Liberty Hospital and adjacent to Interstate 35. Downtown Kansas City is roughly 17 miles away, while the nearest shopping and leisure center, at the intersection of I-35 and Road 152, is within an eight-minute drive of the property.

The community, delivered in four phases, is the result of a partnership between Action Pact, Liberty Hospital and Healthy Living Centers of America. Phase one opened in January and comprises 65,000 square feet of health, fitness, nutrition and exercise amenities. Phase three, marketed as The Laurel and scheduled to open this month, will comprise 60 assisted living units, including 20 for memory care. The last phase will shortly follow, adding independent living and general housing options as well as retail and dining amenities.
