Pennrose was recognized at the 2012 Women of Distinction Awards on November 27th.
The Forum of Executive Women and the Philadelphia Business Journal created the Advancing Women Award to recognize and honor organizations that plan and put into action workplace programs that empower women to succeed.
The award recognizes Pennrose’s commitment to workplace gender equality. Five out of the eleven members of Pennrose’s executive team and 90 percent of the company’s regional property managers are women. The company promotes a work-life balance with 12 weeks maternity leave, additional sabbatical opportunities for new mothers, and flexible work from home options. They have also made a commitment to women in the workforce by offering a number of programs aimed at promoting the health and wellness of its female employees.
