The Opus Group, along with financial partner Principal Real Estate Investors, has broken ground on the 277-unit 1919 Mile High Apartments in Denver’s Jefferson Park neighborhood. The developer expects to complete work on the community in February 2022.

Located at 1919 Mile High Stadium Circle at the north end of the Denver Broncos’ Empower Field, the community is set to rise 12 stories, less than 2 miles from downtown. The project will have a three-level parking podium with 288 stalls and nearly 275,000 square feet of residential space, according to plans filed with the city.

The property’s unit mix will have studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments, with floorplans ranging from approximately 715 to more than 1,200 square feet, plans show. Amenities are slated to include a two-story fitness center on the third and fourth floors, an outdoor swimming pool on the fourth floor and an interior/exterior rooftop space. The building will also have two elevators.

This project marks Opus’ third foray into Denver’s multifamily development scene. The company’s most recent project in the metro, the 306-unit Glenn in Centennial, delivered in mid-2018.
