The Opus Group has completed its second luxury community in Missouri. Ceylon Luxury Apartments, located between the Old Town neighborhood and downtown Clayton, Mo., encompasses 120 units and joins Citizens Park, Opus’ first St. Louis multifamily development, which opened in May. The company also announced that Smoothie King leased 1,377 square feet of retail space available at the ground floor of the building.

From the overall architecture, down to the smallest design features, we were inspired to create a building that not only fit in with the Clayton aesthetic, but elevated it,” said Ryan Carlie, senior manager with Opus Development Co., in a prepared statement.

Highly amenitized common areas

The six-story Ceylon Luxury Apartments is located at 25 N. Central Ave. and offers studios and one- and two-bedroom units. In addition to the residential part, the community includes a two-level underground parking and 13,297 square feet of retail space. The common areas offer top-of-the-line amenities such as:

  • a deck overlooking Central Avenue
  • an interior courtyard
  • a club
  • a game room
  • a conference room
  • a fitness room
  • an outdoor lounge area with grill and fire pit
  • a coffee bar
  • video-enabled building access

Both Ceylon Luxury Apartments and Citizens Park were developed by Opus Development Co. in partnership with AIG Global Real Estate. Opus Design Build was the design builder while Opus AE Group was the architect and structural engineer.
