Oakwood Capital Buys Missouri Community
The acquisition comes seven months after the company’s purchase of a Fort Smith, Ark., property.
Oakwood Capital has acquired the 224-unit Bee Creek in Branson, Mo. Cushman & Wakefield arranged the sale on behalf of the seller.
Built in 2010, the property offers two- and three-bedroom floorplans which feature private balconies or patios. Community amenities include a 4,000-square-foot clubhouse, saltwater pool with fountains and waterfalls, indoor movie theatre, fitness center and basketball court.
Located at 200 Buzz St., the community is some 4 miles north of downtown Branson. The Shoppes at Branson Hills shopping mall is some 2 miles southwest of the property, while Interstate 65, offering access to Springfield, Mo., and Kansas City, is less than half a mile west.
Martin Bynum of Cushman & Wakefield represented the seller in the transaction.
According to Yardi Matrix data, the new owner also acquired the 72-unit The Cottages of Fort Smith in Fort Smith, Ark., in May for $6.5 million, using a $4.8 million Fannie Mae loan originated by Capital One.
