NRP Group Kicks Off Dallas-Area Project

The mixed-income community will comprise 340 units.

The NRP Group has started work on Meryl Street, a 340-unit, mixed-income housing community in Anna, Texas. The company also obtained construction financing for the project scheduled to come online next year.

The firm formed a partnership with the Anna Public Facility Corp. for the development. Upon completion, the community will have 40 percent of units reserved for households earning 80 percent or less of the area median income and 10 percent of units reserved for those earning 60 percent of AMI.

Rising at 900 S. Buddy Hayes Blvd., Meryl Street is close to several dining and retail opportunities. Downtown Dallas is 44 miles southwest, while DFW International Airport is 52 miles away.

The project will consist of 10 three-story residential buildings and a four-story structure. The unit mix will encompass one- and two-bedroom floorplans.

Common-area amenities are set to include a swimming pool with lounge seating and grilling stations, outdoor entertainment area with games, fitness center and a clubhouse with clubroom, library and podcasting studio. The project will also involve the construction of a 2.5-acre public park with two pickleball courts, a dog park, a covered pavilion and dedicated parking.

The NRP Group’s expansion in the Southwest

The NRP Group has developed more than 62,000 apartments since its inception and currently manages north of 30,000 residential units. Last year, a partnership between the firm and Capital Area Housing Finance Corp. opened Centro35, a 330-unit affordable community in San Marcos, Texas, a San Antonio, Texas, submarket.

Another community set to come online in 2026 is The Fielder, a 288-unit affordable housing development in Mesquite, Texas, also a Dallas submarket. The NRP Group is working on the project with the City of Mesquite Housing Finance Corp.
