New Countertops Merge Quartz and Crushed Glass
The Luna Collection from Glass Recycled Surfaces offers a sustainable alternative to granite.
Glass Recycled Surfaces (GRS) has released the Luna Collection, a new series of countertops that use recycled glass as an alternative to granite in multifamily developments. The collection features a unique mineral blend surface that combines quartz with GRS’s post-consumer and industrial glass.
The collection offers a range of contemporary color schemes inspired by the moon, including whites and subtle to dark grays. Designed for applications from kitchens and restrooms to amenity spaces, restaurant tables and flooring, the stain- and scratch-resistant surfaces are toxin-free and environmentally friendly.
GRS’s unique slabs, which provide a more durable and lightweight option than granite, also include the Elements, Premier and Beach collections. These product lines are made from 85 percent recycled glass and porcelain aggregates and 15 percent VOC-free epoxy raisin. The fully customizable countertops provide cost savings of more than 30 percent versus granite by cutting maintenance costs, slab waste and ordering of excess inventory.
