By Erika Schnitzer, Associate EditorLawrenceville, Ga.—Network Communications Inc. (NCI) has partnered with RetirementHomes.com to provide 55+ consumers with more home search options. The alliance will extend the reach of two of NCI’s publications, Mature Living Choices—a resource for the active adult and retirement lifestyle—and Senior Living Choices—targeted to those searching for senior living and assisted living services. Both guides are available in print and online.Combining NCI’s two publications with RetirementHomes.com “creates a database that is one of the largest available to that age group,” Rebecca Chandler, director of marketing at NCI, tells MHN.Through this partnership, the three websites are intermingled and click through to one another, explains Chandler, creating a more content-rich experience for consumers. Though the number of available residences listed on the sites change daily, Chandler estimates that there are approximately 45,000 listed at a given time.Users can search for housing based upon a number of criteria, including location, property type, amenities/services, pricing and whether the individual wants to rent or buy. In addition, prospects can search RetirementHomes.com by available resources, such as active care, assisted living, memory/Alzheimer’s care, skilled nursing, continuing care retirement centers (CCRCs), hospice and rebailitation.“When you advertise in a niche publication like this, you can be assured that 100 percent of those looking are interested” in senior living, asserts Chandler, explaining the advantages of prospect focus distribution. She adds, “If you are trying to appeal to and reach that niche market, there’s no better publication to do it in.” Mature Living Choices and Senior Living Choices are distributed, free of charge, in 15,000 locations throughout the United States.
