The National Apartment Association (NAA) has hired Greg Brown as its vice president of government affairs.
Arlington, Va.–The National Apartment Association (NAA) has hired Greg Brown as its vice president of government affairs.
In this capacity, Brown will coordinate and manage all of NAA’s government affairs efforts at the federal, state and local levels, as well as working with the National Multi Housing Council (NMHC) and its staff in conjunction with the NAA/NMHC Joint Legislative Program as it works toward achieving legislative goals for the betterment of the apartment industry and its members.
Brown has over 10 years of experience advocating on behalf of the multifamily housing industry. Recently, he was an assistant vice president of government affairs at the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) where he coordinated all lobbying efforts on NAHB tax and affordable rental housing priorities and directed grassroots mobilization for homebuilders and local builder associations in several states.
During his tenure with NAHB government affairs, he also focused on housing finance, energy efficiency and small business issues. Previously, Brown also served as director of affordable housing for NAHB’s Multifamily Council.
Brown says he wants to use his experience in the multifamily housing industry to help increase the visibility of NAA’s housing agenda among policymakers at all levels of government.
