By Anuradha Kher, Online News EditorAlliance Residential Names Adam Paul as City Partner, Mountain DivisionSalt Lake City–Alliance Residential Co., has recently appointed Adam Paul as city partner for the company’s mountain division.  Paul will be responsible for identifying development opportunities and working through entitlement, design, and construction and lease-up of new Alliance Residential communities in the Salt Lake City region.“Alliance Residential is one of the few multifamily developers still expanding in our softer economy,” says Paul. “It seemed the perfect opportunity for me to assist Alliance in realizing its vision of providing luxurious, affordable and convenient housing options to the people of Salt Lake City.”Prior to joining Alliance, Paul owned his own development management firm, Paul Partners, where he served as the managing partner for joint ventures with capital partners, home building companies and landowners. During his tenure, he worked with a variety of different properties including town homes, condominiums, an apartment project, a high-density resort property, and a master-planned community. Paul previously worked as director of real estate, managing the development and acquisition of nursing home and assisted living facilities with Rocky Mountain Care, a healthcare company with holdings throughout the western United States.Michael Haynes Joins First Sterling Financial as VP of AcquisitionsManhasset, N.Y–.Michael Haynes has joined First Sterling as vice president of acquisitions, heading up the Mid-Atlantic office. He will work with developers, bringing together tax credit equity and debt for affordable housing Low Income Housing tax Credit (LIHTC) transactions.Prior to joining First Sterling, Haynes was in-house counsel and vice president of acquisitions at RBC Apollo, where he originated, underwrote and closed numerous LIHTC transactions. He also was in-house counsel and vice president of Keycorp Real Estate Capital Markets and an attorney with Goodwin & Bryan LLC. DYL Group Hires New Controller and Senior Financial AnalystMiami–The DYL Group has hired Joseph Geluso as the company’s controller and Syed Shah as senior financial analyst.Prior to joining the DYL Group, Geluso (pictured) was controller at Tarragon Corp. Over his 35-year career he has also served as the controller for Padula & Wadsworth Construction and as the manager of corporate financial reporting and cash manager for Bovis Lend Lease in New York. Shah’s experience includes positions as a financial analyst with SunVest Communities and South Florida’s Finest Realty Group.
