Moss Construction Completes University of Miami Development
The $134 million student housing project comprises 25 interconnected buildings and 1,115 beds.
Moss Construction has completed Lakeside Village, a $134 million student housing project at the University of Miami. Arquitectonica served as the architect for the development. Moss is also slated to manage the property.
The 569,441-square-foot development comprises 25 seven-story, interconnected buildings. The 1,115-bed project includes classrooms, music rooms, study areas, recreation rooms and a 200-seat auditorium. Lakeside Village also features a package center and an exhibition hall. The project was designed with several environmentally responsible and energy-efficient features, such as green roofs that absorb carbon dioxide to help clean the air.
Located at 1280 Stanford Drive, within the University of Miami campus, the project is 7 miles from Miami International Airport. The surrounding area has several public transportation options, such as the University Metrorail station, which is within walking distance. Downtown Miami is 7 miles from Lakeside Village.
In January, Moss Construction completed construction on a 262-unit luxury community in Miami’s financial district of Brickell. The developer, ZOM Living, broke ground on the asset in 2017, using a $51.8 million construction loan from Santander Bank.
