Million-Dollar Condos to Go On Sale in Arizona

Scottsdale, Ariz.—The Sterling Collection at Silverleaf, a condo development in suburban Phoenix, has opened its sales center, with construction beginning shortly. The property is part of the larger (2,000-acre) Silverleaf development, which in turn is part of DC Ranch, a planned community in Scottsdale on the site of a former ranch where multi-million-dollar residential properties routinely trade hands.

Priced from the low $1 million, the 213 condominiums feature one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans, with options for an added den, and range in size from 1,500 square feet to 3,400 square-feet. The top floors will sport a number of penthouses. Locally based Cypress Development Group is developing the Sterling Collection.

Owners will have access to resort-style amenities such as hospitality suites for guests; a residents’ lounge with demonstration kitchen, private dining, library, fireplace and conference room; a proposed rooftop pool deck with indoor-outdoor lounge, spa and private cabanas; and a 24-hour manned guard gate. They will also be invited to become members of the Silverleaf Club, which includes a 50,000-square-foot rural Mediterranean-style clubhouse and spa with resort and lap pools, locker rooms and fine and casual dining. Tom Weiskopf designed the club’s 18-hole golf course.

The property will also feature a robotic valet—still a fairly rare device, even in upscale properties—which is a fully robotic parking garage system. It uses omni-directional, battery-powered robots and a robotics guidance system to carry vehicles parked on self-supporting steel trays to and from storage spaces. At the touch of a button, homeowners can call-up their vehicle to arrive in minutes.

The Sterling Collection aspires to LEED Silver standards. Sustainable features include EV changing stations in the parking garage, energy efficient LED lighting, a VRV HVAC system—uses variable refrigerant flow control to provide occupants with the ability to maintain individual zone control in each room and floor—spray polyurethane foam insulation, dual pane low-e windows and low VOC paint throughout.
