Mill Creek Tops Off Dallas Community
The firm will open the 217-unit property to its first move-ins next spring.

Modera Katy Trail, a new 14-story multifamily tower designed by BKV Group, has topped off in the Uptown district of Dallas. Developed by Mill Creek Residential at 5350 McKinney Ave., the luxury apartment community is anticipated to open its doors to first move-ins next spring.
The rental property will offer 217 apartment homes in studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom layouts. The building will also include a penthouse collection on the 14th floor and ground-floor townhomes. Features and finishes of apartments include double-vanity bathrooms, custom cabinetry, quartz countertops in kitchens, wood-plank flooring and, in select units, 10-foot ceilings. Amenities include a landscaped pool deck with outdoor dining areas and fire pits.
Building structure
“The greatest challenge we faced with Modera Katy Trail was finding a way to deliver thoughtful design that tells a story, while still achieving the required density and program required by our client,” Jonathan Delcambre, BKV Group design leader & partner, told Multi-Housing News.
“The solution was a building structure that had not been constructed in the Dallas market. We were confident this building type, a partially prefabricated light gauge steel structure over a concrete podium, would satisfy the goals of our client without compromising the design,” he added.
Mill Creek has been working on several different developments across the U.S. In February, the company began construction on Modera Woodbridge, a 279-unit community in New Jersey.
