Charleston, S.C.—Multi Housing Advisors recently arranged the sale of a 142-unit apartment community located near Charleston, S.C. The Legends at Mount Pleasant was acquired by Chaucer Creek Capital.
Located at 1100 Legends Club Drive, The Legends at Mount Pleasant offers one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments in a community situated in close proximity to shopping centers anchored by Publix and Walmart, the Charleston National Country Club, as well as the newly built Roper Saint Francis Hospital. Monthly rents at the property start at $1005 for a one-bedroom apartment, $1325 for a two-bedroom unit and $1625 for a three-bedroom apartment.
Marc Robinson, founder & managing partner, Jordan McCarley, managing director, and Watson Bryant, director at MHA’s Charlotte branch, represented the seller, a private developer, in the transaction.
“The Charleston and Mount Pleasant area’s high quality of life and successes across a broad economic base provide a bright outlook for the region’s entire multifamily sector,” said McCarley in a prepared statement. “This transaction allows the buyer the opportunity to input fresh capital into a well-built, well-located asset in a submarket that can support considerable rent growth.”
