Meta Housing Corp. has completed 5400 Hollywood Family Apartments, a 40-unit mixed-use affordable community in East Hollywood for $21.6 million. The five-story apartment community was built above 3,485 square feet of commercial space and will be managed by WSH Management Inc.
Located at 1655 North Serrano Ave., the community is just off Route 101 and within easy access to I-5. Property amenities include a rooftop deck equipped with barbecue and children’s play areas, as well as large community spaces, a clubhouse, and computer room. Constructed to LEED Gold Certification standards, the one-, two-, and three-bedroom community also utilizes the latest in sustainable and green design.
“For this particular property, we used drought-tolerant plant materials in order to reduce the amount of water at the project, as well as reduce operating costs,” said Chris Maffris, senior vice president at Meta Housing, in prepared remarks.
“Housing affordability continues to be a major concern for families throughout Los Angeles,” said Meta Housing Corp. President Kasey Burke in a prepared statement. “There are more than 7,000 new apartments anticipated to be delivered to the market over the course of 2017, many of which are luxury communities. As new luxury supply and rents continue to inch upward, 5400 Hollywood Family Apartments fills a deep void in the community by providing residents with new, quality housing that is also affordable.”
