Melo Group has completed construction on Aria on the Bay, a 53-story luxury condominium tower in downtown Miami’s Arts & Entertainment District. The 648-unit waterfront property topped off in March 2017 and residences are already 90 percent sold and under contract.
Located at 1770 N. Bayshore Drive along Biscayne Bay, Aria on the Bay launched in 2015, featuring a collection of triplex penthouses that span the building’s top three stories. Other units include a range of one- to four-bedroom condos with floor-to-ceiling windows, private elevator access, open-plan living areas, custom-designed cabinetry and terraces with panoramic views of Biscayne Bay, Miami Beach and the city skyline.
Appealing amenity base
Designed by Arquitectonica, Aria on the Bay boasts a 14th-floor amenity deck with two swimming pools, jacuzzi, private spa, fitness center and yoga studio. Further amenities include an indoor/outdoor bar and entertainment lounge, screening and game room, library and a business center. The project also features 10,000 square feet of commercial space on the lower floors.
“Two blocks north of the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, Aria on the Bay’s semi-circular balconies make reference to those inside the classic opera houses. They playfully stagger creating a series of cylinders in performance. The arrangement could also be interpreted as a musical score or a series of curves dancing to a tune,” Architect Bernardo Fort-Brescia, founding principal of Arquitectonica, said in prepared remarks.
The property is adjacent to Margaret Pace Park, providing residents with access to the park’s jogging paths, biking trails, tennis and basketball courts, picnic and playground areas, as well as daily yoga and fitness classes. Aria on the Bay is within blocks of several destinations for arts and culture, entertainment, dining and shopping. Nearby venues include the AmericanAirlines Arena, Museum Park’s Perez Art Museum Miami and Frost Museum of Science.
Cervera Real Estate is spearheading marketing efforts at the property. Melo Group is currently developing the 710-unit Square Station Apartments, a market-rate property scheduled for opening this month as part of a larger, three-phase development plan.
