Miami—Miami-based real estate development company Melo Group has announced that it has kicked off sales for its newest downtown Miami project, Aria on the Bay. Groundbreaking on the 53-story, 647-unit luxury condominium tower is expected to start early- to mid-2015 with completion anticipated for 2017.
The planned development, designed by Arquitectonica, will be located at 1770 N. Bayshore Drive in downtown Miami’s Arts & Entertainment District. Aria on the Bay is the 14th project of Melo Group in the Downtown Miami area. The mixed-use building will also include 40,000 square feet of commercial space on the lower floors that will contain a mix of ground-floor office, retail and restaurant space.
“More than a decade after delivering our first Miami tower we’re proud to be building our firm’s largest and most luxurious condo development to date,” says Carlos Melo, a principal with the Melo Group. “With momentum building in the Arts & Entertainment District, Aria on the Bay will offer residents the opportunity to enjoy a walkable, family-friendly neighborhood, surrounded by world class cultural attractions.”
Once completed, the building will include a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plan options, as well as two-story penthouses. Low-to-high prices range from the $300,000s to more than $4 million and preconstruction reservations are already underway. Miami-based Cervera Real Estate has been selected as the project’s exclusive sales and marketing brokerage.
In an attempt to make the development its most high-end project to date, Melo Group has teamed with Arquitectonica to create a unique architectural structure that incorporates high-end materials and finishes into both private and public spaces of the building.
Residences at the building are planned to include private elevator access, floor-to-ceiling glass windows and private terraces that will offer owners city and bay views. The open floor plans will include European-style kitchens with modern custom-designed cabinetry.
Aria on the Bay’s extravagances will be highlighted by the building’s resort amenity deck on the 14th floor that will feature two curved lap/zero entry pools that offer sunset and sunrise views, a children’s pool, hot tub with views of Biscayne Bay, a sundeck lounge with custom seated fire pits, barbecue grills and outdoor summer kitchens. Other amenities at the building will include a private spa and massage facility, a state-of-the-art fitness center and yoga studio, an indoor-outdoor social room with bar and kitchen and a private screening room with theater seating.
“Beyond its superb Downtown Miami waterfront location, magnificent bay views, and high-quality design features, Aria on the Bay benefits from the expertise of one of Miami’s strongest developers in Melo Group,” says Alicia Cervera Lamadrid, managing partner of Cervera Real Estate. “Melo’s track record of delivering successful residential developments in Miami and throughout the Americas carries invaluable weight with buyers from the U.S. and abroad looking to establish a primary or secondary home in South Florida, while market fundamentals remain favorable.”
