Doral, Fla.—Mediterranea, a leader in the field of glazed porcelain tiles, has unveiled a new collection of flooring that mimics the hand-scraped and aged-worn surface texture of wood harvested from exotic rainforest trees.
Designers and architects can now get the look of prized rainforest wood into their project without having to worry about deforestation.
The tiles, which are available in oak, chestnut, cherry, walnut and espresso, come in a 6” x 24” plank-style size. Mediterranea is billing the line as perfect for upscale residences, high-traffic commercial applications and retail.
The Italy-based company has been designing and producing high-quality glazed porcelain tiles for over a decade. Their products are produced in factories in Italy, Spain, Brazil, Turkey, Argentina and the United States.
