MAXX Properties Buys 145-Unit Asset in South Florida
The buyer is planning renovations at the 2008-completed community.
Privately held MAXX Properties has bought ANKR Wilton Manors, a 145-unit rental community in Wilton Manors, Fla., between Pompano Beach and Fort Lauderdale. The previous owner was Gables Residential, according to Yardi Matrix information. This marks the buyer’s fifth multifamily asset in the state.
The new ownership intends to modernize the community’s interior spaces and the outdoor amenities as part of a wider value-add endeavor.
Built in 2009 and previously dubbed Gables Wilton Park, ANKR Wilton Manors is located at 513 NE 21st Court. That puts the community some 2 miles from Coral Ridge Mall, and also close to a handful of retail and dining options along North Federal Highway. There are numerous beaches within 5 miles.
Floorplans at ANKR Wilton Manors include studios and one-bedroom units, as well as one- and two-bedroom townhouses, ranging between 686 and 1,667 square feet. The community includes ground-floor retail along Wilton Drive. Amenities include a swimming pool, fitness center, resident lounge and an outdoor lounge with barbeque space.
Some 5 miles south of ANKR Wilton Manors, on North Federal Highway itself, developer 13th Floor Investments just broke ground last month on a 398-unit rental community named Parks at Hallandale.
