Makepeace, Campanelli to Develop MA Asset

The joint venture is developing the Apartments at Redbrook in Plymouth, a 184-unit community that includes a swimming pool, a fitness center and sub-grade parking.

A pair of well-established Massachusetts family-owned companies will collaborate to develop a new 184-unit apartment community in the heart of Redbrook Plymouth in Plymouth, Mass. The A.D. Makepeace Company will join forces with developer Campanelli to create the Apartments at Redbrook.

The community’s design calls for four multifamily structures positioned around a courtyard featuring a swimming pool and fitness center. The appearance of the buildings will reflect the Cape Cod-reminiscent aesthetics of other Redbrook neighborhoods. Sub-grade parking will be provided beneath half the buildings. The apartment community will link to nearby walking and hiking trails and open land.

One- and two-bedroom luxury units will comprise much of the apartment community, with a smaller number of three-bedroom units also available. Ten of the planned units will be set aside as affordable.

Construction is slated to commence in late spring, with first move-ins in summer 2019.

“Campanelli is truly excited to partner with the A.D. Makepeace Company to bring another first-class residential option to the residents of Redbrook,” Campanelli partner Dan DeMarco said. “Our goal is to use our experience building luxury apartments to complement the inviting environment for residents that Redbrook already represents.”

A.D. Makepeace Company president and CEO Michael P. Hogan stated his belief the development is “the most important milestone in the evolution of Redbrook since our first pioneering residents selected their home sites here. Campanelli’s quality and integrity make them a perfect fit with our first seven neighborhoods, and the work that our first three residential homebuilder partners have done.”

A trio of neighborhoods at Redbrook have been completed. Four others remain under construction, among them an enclave featuring a new townhouse option. Redbrook offers a full-service YMCA, as well as a community center called The Meeting House. This center offers a café-style restaurant called The Farmers Table, whose menu embraces a farm-to-table culinary philosophy. Also housed within The Meeting House are the Redbrook sales and management offices.

Full build-out will take place over the course of a decade. When complete, Redbrook will include as many as 1,200 residences, including single-family homes, condominiums and apartments, all arrayed within walking distance of the village center.

More than 60,000 square feet of commercial space will also be included. The village offers more than 1,400 acres of preserved forest with walking trails, kayak launches, fishing ponds and swimming waters, among other features.

Current builders at Redbrook include The Valle Group of East Falmouth, The Stabile Companies of Nashua, N.H. and Whitman Homes of Canton.
