Tutera Senior Living & Health Care has recently wrapped up construction of a $55 million luxury senior living community in Kansas City, Mo., and will celebrate the property’s grand opening on Thursday. The property, Tiffany Springs Senior Living Community, provides 89 memory care and assisted living units along with 172 independent living apartment homes.

Construction on the project began in July 2017, and the independent living component opened this past July. Located at 9101 North Ambassador Drive, the project is connected via covered walkway to Tiffany Springs Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, which provides short-term rehabilitation services and extended stays.

With the opening of the memory care and assisted living units, the community will provide a full continuum of care complemented by post-acute health care services. Unlike many senior living facilities, the rental-based community does not require a buy-in or large upfront payment.

Country club-style amenities

The new 289,000-square-foot property features a mix of one-bedroom, one-bedroom-plus-den and two-bedroom apartment homes with upscale finishes, high-end appliances, high ceilings, balconies and large windows. Tiffany Springs Senior Living Community is equipped with a wide array of country club-style amenities and services, including a day spa and salon, heated indoor wellness swimming pool, outdoor courtyard, art studio, theater with surround sound, chapel and multiple dining venues.

The community also features 24-hour security, senior-friendly technology with controlled access and meals made to order by in-house chefs. Retail offerings in the area include the Tiffany Springs MarketCenter and the Zona Rosa Town Center. The property is a roughly 15-minute drive to downtown Kansas City and 10 minutes to the Kansas City International Airport.

Privately held Tutera Senior Living & Health Care, part of the Tutera Group, operates 47 senior housing communities across 13 states.
