Luxury Senior Community Breaks Ground in Raleigh

The $80 million, 205-unit luxury senior living facility is the developer’s third Optimal Living-branded community. The project is slated for completion in late summer 2021.

Cambridge Village Optimal Living broke ground on The Cambridge at Brier Creek, an $80 million, 205-unit luxury senior living facility in Raleigh, N.C. This is the company’s third Optimal Living-branded community and will serve residents aged 55 and over.

Clancy & Theys Construction Co. is the general contractor and Rule Joy Trammell + Rubio LLC provides architecture and interior design services. The development is slated for completion in late summer 2021.

Situated on 6.4 acres at 7801 T.W. Alexander Drive, The Cambridge at Brier Creek is within walking distance of restaurants and shopping. Also, the property is less than 1 mile east of WakeMed Brier Creek Healthplex, 14 miles southeast of Downtown Raleigh and nearly 6 miles south of Raleigh-Durham International Airport.

The community offers one- and two-bedroom apartments for independent living, with floorplans ranging from 742 to 1,439 square feet. Amenities include a salon with MedSpa services, concierge health care with a physician on-site, pub, movie theater, library and the 25,000-square-foot Cambridge Fitness wellness center. Open to both residents and the public, the wellness center will offer an indoor heated lap pool, group exercise studios and cardio/strength equipment.
