Luxury Community Across from Wrigley Field Opens

M&R Development and Bucksbaum Retail Properties developed The Residences at Addison & Clark, a 148-unit luxury property in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood.

The Residences at Addison & Clark

M&R Development and Bucksbaum Retail Properties have welcomed the first residents at their latest Chicago multifamily property, The Residences at Addison & Clark. It took M&R, also the developer of The Residences of Wilmette, two years to deliver the 148-unit property, with help from architect Solomon Cordwell Buenz and general contractor Power Construction.

The community encompasses a mix of studio-, one- and two-bedroom apartments and is proposed for LEED certification. RMK Management Corp. was appointed manager of the property.

Large retail component

The Residences at Addison & Clark is located at 1025 W. Addison St., across the Wrigley Field, and encompasses approximately 170,000 square feet of retail space in addition to the residential component. Some of the businesses that already signed the retail roster are Do-Rite Donuts & Chicken, Shake Shack, Baseballism, Lucky Strike and Kilwins.

Units vary from approximately 500 to 1,400 square feet and feature hardwood floors, quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances as well as in-unit laundry. They can be rented at a monthly average of $3,000, according to real estate data provider Yardi Matrix. The community also provides a wide range of common-area amenities including:

  • green roof with terrace, pool, spa and grilling stations
  • state-of-the-art fitness center
  • indoor lounge equipped with a kitchen
  • dog park
  • dry cleaning services
  • Luxer One package delivery system

Residents have direct access to several major bus stops as well as the CTA’s Red line, which is one block west of the property. Proximity to Lake Michigan and downtown Chicago are two other advantages for renters.
